Art teacher Dave Lapp’s graphic novel depicts truthful, comic book-style vignettes of incidents that occurred during the 12 years he’s worked at drop-in centres in at-risk communities in Toronto.

Drop-In by David Lapp was published by Toronto’s Conundrum Press in December 2008. It is currently available at select comic shops and directly from Conundrum Press here.

As today is December 31 and is also new comic book day, the final eligible releases for the 2009 Joe Shuster Awards will be out on the stands. In the coming weeks we will be announcing on this site the eligible 2008 creators and their works for review by our Nominating Committees and they will begin the task of sorting through those releases and selecting the candidates for the ballot. The ballot will be released in early March 2009.
