Montreal Comic-Con: 8300 attendees in 2010

The MCC admin team has announced on Facebook that last weekend’s Montreal Comic-Con had a whopping 8300 attendees! The show would like to thank everyone who came to the the event. After a short break work will begin on the 2011 Comic-Con.

The Montreal Comic-Con is owned and run by Alex La Prova and Oscar Yazedjian. The inaugural event drew about 800 people, the second event approx. 2500-3000 but this year outperformed expectations of between 5,000 and 6,000 people. The show floor, which was expanded to close to 40,000 square feet to accommodate all the extra events and the increase in popularity was filled to capacity during peak periods on the Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

As of today, Hobby Star has not announced the attendance from the August 27-29 Fan Expo Canada.
