Yes, it’s almost time for SAN DIEGO COMIC CON INTERNATIONAL 2010 (July 21-25) and Canadian comic book creators and publishers, and some retailers, are gearing up for the annual trek to sunny San Diego.

It’s no exception for those of us here who work at the CCBCAA. Many of us are going to San Diego this year, including Allison Covey, Tyrone Biljan and myself. We’ll be there walking around and checking things out and connecting with our fellow Canucks and getting the news on what’s being planned for the rest of 2010 and beyond.

Also, Jennifer Stewart, owner of Guelph ON store The Dragon and sponsor of the COMICS FOR KIDS Joe Shuster Award is also attending,  as The Dragon is in the running for the Will Eisner Spirit of Retailing Award – finalists will be announced on Friday, July 23rd – the morning of the Will Eisner Comic Book Industry Awards.
