2010 was a big year for our friend Scott Chantler — August saw the release of the well-received Three Thieves Book 1: Tower of Treasure from Kids Can Press, while late October saw the release of the critically acclaimed Two Generals from McClelland & Stewart, and on top of all of the that the approachable Canadian cartoonist was featured on the cover of Quill & Quire magazine with a feature profile.

Thankfully, we’ll hear from Scott again this year with Three Thieves Book 2: The Sign of the Black Rock, also from Kids Can Press. Over at his blog, Scott reveals that:

I just delivered final art for my big release for this year: the second Three Thieves book, The Sign of the Black Rock. It’s on track for an August release, same as its predecessor, Tower of Treasure. It’s never too early to start promoting a new book, though, so here are six pages to whet your appetite
