August’s Vancouver Comic & Entertainment Expo cancelled

It is with great regret that we must inform you that the 2016 Vancouver Comic & Entertianment Expo, Aug 5-7 will not be going forward.

There has been no detailed explanation given for the cancellation of the inaugural show, scheduled to be held at BC Place. A number of celebrity guests had been announced and comic guests were promised as coming but never revealed. The facebook page is promising reimbursements for any ticket purchases already made.

Brasco Exhibitions, formerly known as Comic & Entertainment Expo International, is headed by CEO Ben Marasco, of Calgary, AB.

Vancouver, BC has a large and growing comics culture, is home to VanCaf (May 2016), Fan Expo Vancouver (November 2016), Vancouver Comicon (semi-regular) and the Vancouver Comic Show (3x a year).
