The selection process is currently underway for the 2017 nominees, we are currently looking to announce the nominees on Joe Shuster’s Birthday – MONDAY, JULY 10.

The ceremony, or at the very least the announcement, of the 2017 award winners will take place in Toronto, ON on Labour Day Weekend in September.

We have also received a large number of entries for the Gene Day Award, many past the deadline of May 15. We’ll allow these entries up to a grace period of Friday, June 23rd (as two more postal receipts arrived today to be picked up).

2017 is Canada’s 150th birthday and the 13th year of the Joe Shuster Awards. We are currently opening a call for sponsorships for this year’s awards. Interested businesses should contact kevin@joeshusterawards.com for information.
