Drawing the Human Figure from Memory with Ty Templeton
Learn the essential skills that will allow you to construct drawings of the human figure from memory and create your own dynamic poses from imagination. We emphasize a fundamental understanding of the skeletal forms and the muscle systems that make up the human body, allowing an artist to create figures in any pose with surprising ease. Students of the comic book page, animation, story boarding or illustration will be well served by the techniques learned in this workshop.
Comic Book Penciling and Inking with Leonard Kirk
In this workshop preview, DC/Marvel artist and veteran penciler and inker Leonard Kirk will review the rudiments of both disciplines and why choosing the right approach will not only help you achieve better results, but save you precious time and help you better manage your deadlines. A discussion on the overall process – how to build an effective comic book page from initial thumbnail to tight pencils and then give it body and power in ink – will also be included.
