McClelland & Stewart senior editor Anita Chong has acquired world rights to The Spectral Engine, a graphic novel by Ray Fawkes. The book is a retelling of Canada’s most famous ghost stories, linked by themes of migration, dislocation, nation-building, and the casualties of history. The book will be published October 2013.

According to the Raven Toys and Comics blog, American promoter Wizard has dropped the Winnipeg based Central Canada Comic Con from their schedule.
